    Start Ringtone Composer
    Ring Tone Composer allows you to easily customize the ring tones of your cell phone. By utilizing the easy-to-use interface, you can create your own melodies or edit existing ones and transfer the data back to your mobile phone via the data cable or SMS. Ringtone composing is based on cell phone model and provider.

    Note: Not all phones support these features. For specific information on these features and many others features, know your manufacturer and model number and refer to the phone support chart.

    Click on the DataPilot Icon to execute DataPilot software. Click the [Ringtone Composer] button on Datapilot’s virtual phone to execute this feature.

    Import Ringtone
    On the Menu Bar, click:
    File> Import (Select the Type of file you want to open i.e. RTTL)

    The standard “File Open” dialog box for Windows will appear. Select the folder or file name, Click on [OK] when ready. The read Tune will be displayed in a new window.

    Export Ringtone
    This options will take the current Ringtone Composer file (*.dpm) and covert it into different formats.

    On the Menu Bar, click: File> Export (Select the Type of file you want to open i.e. RTTL)

    The standard File Save As dialog box for Windows will appear.
    Specify the destination.
    The read data will be displayed in a new list window
    Name your file and then click on [OK].

    There is two ways to Open an existing ringtone:
    Click on the [Open] button on the Tool Bar or click on the Menu Bar: File> Open.

    The standard File Open dialog box for Windows will appear. Select the folder or file name, and then click on [Open]. The read data will be displayed in a new list window

    Note: Starting from DataPilot version 3.0, the save file format has changed from the previous *.DRT to a new .DPM format. If you have saved files from previous version of .DRT format, you can access them by selecting [Old DataPilot File (*.kkv, *.dpb)] from the File type drop list that appears in the File Open dialog box. DataPilot will ask to convert the file when you decide to Write All the data to your mobile phone.

    Note: DataPilot provides some Ring Tone samples for your conveyance. Samples are located in the DataPilot directory (The default directory is C:\Program Files\Susteen\DataPilot\RingTone).
    Edit Ringtones
    To edit any of your melodies you simply use the Ring tone's Key Board. Click on a location and start key in the music notes. Use backspace or delete keys on your keyboard to delete music notes.

    In addition to changing music notes, you can also change the instrument it uses to play it. Click on the Menu Bar: Melody Edit Track. Select the instrument and click OK [button].

    Now play your melody and enjoy.

    There is two ways to save contacts:
    Click on the [Save] button on the Tool Bar or click on the Menu Bar: File> Save.

    Save As dialog box will appear. Specify the destination. Name your file and then click on [OK].

    Note: If has been saved before, it will over write the existing file on the disk.

    Writing to the Mobile Phone
    Verify that your settings are properly set. At the bottom right corner of the ringtone composer it displays the phone model that is currently set for (it also displays whether your phone is connected).

    New [New] button
    Creates a new ringtone window.
    Open [Open] button
    Opens an existing DataPilot ringtone file.
    Save [Save] button
    Saves files to your computer. It saves the data in the active ringtone window over the existing file on the disk. If the data is new and has not been saved, it will perform a [Save As.]
    Solo [Play Solo] button
    Plays ring tone data without ensemble.
    play [Play] button
    Searches the data in the active list window for the specified keyword. Plays ring tone data.
    Stop [Stop] button
    Stops the music.
    Auto Backing [Auto Backing] button
    Add ensemble into current melody. There are various types of backing that can be added.
    The buttons below write ring tone data to the mobile phone. Depends on the mobile phone, there are four ways to transfer ring tone data, Cable/IRDA Transfer, Melody File Transfer, SMS Transfer, and Manual Entry.
    Cable Transfer Cable/IRDA Transfer (Writes ring tone data to the mobile phone via cable or IRDA).
    Melody Transfer Melody File Transfer (Transfers a melody or MIDI file to the mobile phone).
    SMS Transfer SMS Transfer (Sends the current ring tone data to the mobile phone via SMS Internet mail).
    Manual Transfer Manual Entry (Manually enters the ring tone data to the mobile phone which does not support the data transfer).
