    Start Image Editor
    Personalize your mobile phone by changing it with your own photos. The image editor allows you to change the picture in your cell phone. This feature is based on mobile phone model.

    Note: Not all phones support these features. For specific information on these features and many others features, know your manufacturer and model number and refer to the phone support chart.

    Click on the DataPilot Icon to execute DataPilot software. Click the [Image Editor] button on Datapilot’s virtual phone to execute this feature.

    There is two ways to Open an existing image:
    Click on the [Open] button on the Tool Bar or click on the Menu Bar: File> Open.

    The standard File Open dialog box for Windows will appear. Select the folder or file name, and then click on [Open]. The read data will be displayed in a new list window.

    To edit any of your images Image Editor provides various Editing tools.

    Use the Drawing Toolbar to manipulate your image.

    Or go on the Menu Bar to: 'Drawing Tools' or 'Modify Image'. They contain various functions to manipulation your images: from adding shapes, adjust colors, to framing your image.

    There is two ways to save images:
    Click on the [Save] button on the Tool Bar or click on the Menu Bar: File> Save.

    Save As dialog box will appear. Specify the destination. Name your file and then click on [OK].

    Note: If has been saved before, it will over write the existing file on the disk.

    Writing to the Mobile Phone
    Verify that your settings are properly set. At the bottom right corner of the Image Editor window it displays the phone model that is currently set for (it also displays whether your phone is connected).

    There is two ways to write images:
    Click on the [Write] button on the Tool Bar or click on the Menu Bar: File> Write.

    Note: if the image in the active window is not formatted for your mobile phone, the 'Image Editor' dialog box will appear and will prompt to convert the image.

    The Write All dialog box will appear. Click on [OK], and all of your data will start transferring to your mobile phone. Follow the steps to save the your image to your mobile phone. Your new image is now ready to use on you phone.

    Wizard
    Image Editor is easier than ever. It has included a wizard to guide you step by step. The “Easy Wizard” will appear when you launch Datapilot Image Editor, or just simply go to the on the menu bar to File Wizard to manually start it. If you do not wish to use the wizard, there is a option on the wizard to disable upon launch Datapilot Image Editor.

    The read data will be displayed in a new window.

    Picture Trim:

    Image Editor provides an easy way to trim your image to fit on your phone. Simply Drag the corners of the picture to adjust the size.

    Click the [Next] button when you are ready.

    Adjust Brightness and Contrast:

    This will allow you to configure the brightness, contrast, and sharpness of your pictures. Simply adjust each option as needed.

    Click the [Next] button when you are ready.

    Adjust Color Depth:

    Adjusting the Color Depth, the resulting image will result in a specific size. The better the color depth the bigger the image size.

    Click [Finish] when you are ready.

    “Finish Wizard” dialog box appears. There are two options to allow you to:

    Modify This Image:
    Before sending it to a mobile phone modify your image using Image editors drawing tools. Then you can manually click on the [Melody File Transfer] button.

    Write to Phone:
    This performs the write image function to the mobile phone. The "Confirm Write All" dialog appears. Follow the steps to save the your image to your mobile phone. Your new image is now ready to use on you phone.

    NOTE: If you have not set the setting for your mobile phone, it will not transfer the image.

    New [New] button
    Creates a new image file.
    Open [Open] button
    Opens an existing image file.
    Save [Save] button
    Saves files to your computer. It saves the data in the active image editor window over the existing file on the disk. If the data is new and has not been saved, it will perform a [Save As.]
    Read [Read] button
    Reads image files from the mobile to the Image Editor.
    Note: The “Read” feature may unavailable on some certain phones. If “Read” is not supported, the button will appear dimmed.
    Write [Write] button
    Writes the open image to the mobile phone.
    Cut [Cut] button
    Cuts the selected image area to clipboard.
    Copy [Copy] button
    Copies the selected image area to clipboard.
    Paste [Paste] button
    Pastes the clipboard contents (from “Cut” or “Copy” commend) to the selected area.
    Undo [Undo] button
    Reverts the last operation. “Undo” can be done multiple times as long as the “Undo” memory is not empty. This feature is dimmed out when not available.
    Redo [Redo] button
    Reverts the last “Undo” operation. This feature is available only when “Undo” has been done.
    Select [Select Area Type] button
    Choose the area selection type. There are 4 types of area selections including Rectangle, Ellipse, Any Shape, and Same Color. Click on the arrow button next to this icon to display the list of selection types.
    Move [Move] button
    When an area is selected, you can move the area to a different location.
    Drawing [Drawing Tool] button
    Choose the drawing tool type. There are 4 types of drawing tools including Pen, Line, Rectangle, and Circle/Ellipse. Click on the arrow button next to this icon to display the list of drawing tools.
    Fill [Fill] button
    Fills the selected area with the current color selected in the palette. The Fill feature only fills an area of the same color.
    Gradation [Gradation] button
    Fills the selected area with a gradation using the current selected color. You can choose the gradation type from the list.
    Pick Color [Pick Color] button
    When the mouse cursor turns into the eyedropper, move it on the color you wish to select from the image and click the mouse. The color in the palette will be changed with the new color.
    Text [Text] button
    Click to input text. A text input dialog box will appear. Input the text string and text settings, then press [OK]. Choose the location to place the text and click the mouse.

    When the mouse cursor turns into the eyedropper, move it on the color you wish to select from the image and click the mouse. The color in the palette will be changed with the new color.
    Stamp [Stamp] button
    Stamps a clip art to the image. Choose from the clip art gallery and click [OK]. Place cursor over the location to stamp and click. The stamp can used multiple times.
    Frame [Frame] button
    Frames the image with a predefined frame. Choose the frame from the gallery and click [OK].
    Zoom In [Zoom In] button
    Enlarges the selected viewing area for easier viewing. It does not raise or lower the image resolution.
    Zoom Out [Zoom Out] button
    Decreases the selected viewing area for easier viewing. It does not raise or lower the image resolution.
    Preview [Preview] button
    Displays a preview window showing what the image might look on the actual phone. Note that this image may not be completely accurate.
